Dejero was founded by mobile internet expert Bogdan Frusina after his work with the Canadian government on political campaigns. Bogdan provided the Canadian political parties with mobile internet on the campaign buses as they toured across Canada. During these travels Bogdan developed a close relationship with the reporters who were providing coverage of the political campaigns. He learned of the highly stressful environment and saw the reporters struggling to find bang boxes and feed points. Bogdan observed the increasing difficulties that broadcasters faced in order to give viewers live coverage of events. They were plagued with incredibly high operating costs, increased competition and the logistical nightmare caused by the necessity of satellite trucks. Bogdan knew that cellular networks were evolving rapidly and thought that the increased bandwidth would be able to support video transmissions and solve broadcasters growing problems.
In 2008, Bogdan gathered a team of mobile internet and cellular experts to create the Dejero Wireless ENG Platform that uses the expanding 3G+ cell networks to enable broadcasters to collect and transmit broadcast-quality live video from anywhere there is cell coverage. It allows broadcasters to expand their news gathering at a fraction of the cost of legacy technology.
With a significant amount of insight from national television networks and content providers, Dejero was able to create a product with the help of broadcasters designed specifically for broadcasters. Dejero and its innovative solution is re-defining how broadcasters gather content and freeing the community from outdated and expensive technology.
