WATERLOO, Ontario — October 24, 2016

Dejero, an innovator in cloud-managed solutions that simplify the transport of live video and real-time data across remote or mobile IP networks, today announced it will showcase the latest developments in its IP connectivity solutions for electronic newsgathering (ENG) and remote broadcasting at the NAB Show New York exhibition (New York, 9 – 10 November, booth 1015).

During the show, which was formerly Content and Communications World (CCW), Dejero will preview its new mobile connectivity solution called LIVE+ Gateway which provides fast, reliable, and secure access to the public Internet and private networks while operating in remote locations.

LIVE+ Gateway leverages the company’s patented network bonding technologies to solve the challenge of reliable Internet and private network access while in the field. Dejero’s unique technology bonds multiple IP paths including cellular, Wi-Fi, and satellite to create a virtual network with the necessary bandwidth and reliability to enable bi-directional data transfers from newsroom and production systems. The new mobile connectivity system offers up to five times the throughput of existing solutions.NR-Dejero Brings New Mobile and Cloud-managed IP Connectivity to The Big Apple“LIVE+ Gateway was previewed in Europe last month to excitement from international broadcasters as it opens up so many new possibilities for production crews working in the field,” said Brian Cram, CEO of Dejero. “With LIVE+ Gateway we are extending broadcasters’ databases and enterprise services to their crews working remotely in the field. They can access newsroom and production systems including archived media assets, edit their own stories in the field, and quickly transfer complete packages back to the broadcast facility. This is a completely new way of working.”

Visitors to the Dejero booth will also see demonstrations of the LIVE+ Control management system, including enhanced monitoring, station administration, and reporting capabilities, displaying real-time analytics of network connection performance, and overall transmission quality for each Dejero transmitter.

Also on show is the next generation of the LIVE+ Core software, which sits at the heart of Dejero’s industry-leading products. LIVE+ Core 4.1 supports multichannel audio, enabling more audio inputs from a variety of microphones or transmitting multiple languages. The software is now capable of supporting two, four, or eight channels of audio, and features a proprietary prioritization algorithm that intelligently manages bandwidth to preserve video quality as the number of audio channels increases.

This latest update allows broadcast crews in the field to create a ‘hotspot’ with their LIVE+ EnGo mobile transmitters, connecting all their devices to the Internet to support editing, fact checking, and communication while in remote locations. Crews no longer need to carry an additional portable ‘hotspot’ or pocket router.

Dejero’s updated compact LIVE+ EnGo mobile transmitter will also be at the booth, with simplified connectivity options and updated roaming packages. LIVE+ EnGo encodes IP video and bonds all available networks, including cellular, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and satellite, to deliver exceptional picture quality with extremely low latency. A new user-changeable SIM module allows a field operator to quickly and easily switch between different sets of SIMs in a LIVE+ EnGo. This enables optimal performance in the local cellular network environment.
