Ontario-backed innovation and industry partnerships advance next-generation connectivity for public safety and emergency response
WATERLOO, ONTARIO – September 11, 2026 – Dejero, a leader in resilient connectivity solutions for broadcast, media production, and public safety, today highlighted the successful development of TITAN Command, the industry’s first triple-5G router, created with funding from the Government of Ontario through the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN). TITAN Command was developed in collaboration with industry partners Nomad GCS, a Kratos company, and Cyberkar Systems Inc. and launched globally in February 2026 in Barcelona. The solution was designed to deliver resilient, uninterrupted connectivity for first responders and mobile workforces operating in demanding environments.
With a total project value of over $567,000, the project received over $187,000 from the Government of Ontario through OVIN and over $379,900 from industry partners.
Through the project, Dejero successfully developed a ruggedized, vehicle-ready router featuring three independent 5G modems, integrated antennas, high-precision GPS with automotive dead reckoning, and an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. The resulting solution is purpose-built for mission-critical communications and is now in commercial production, with customer shipments already underway.
“The development of TITAN Command is the result of close collaborations with customers and industry partners who understand the connectivity challenges faced by first responders and mobile operation teams every day,” said Matt Scully, V.P. Product Management at Dejero. “Through the support of OVIN, and the valuable input from our development partners, we were able to accelerate the creation of a rugged, vehicle-ready solution that delivers resilient, uninterrupted connectivity in the environments where reliability matters most.”
Accelerating Innovation in Critical Connectivity
TITAN Command redefines critical connectivity with an unprecedented triple 5G modem integration powered by Dejero’s patented Smart Blending Technology™ by intelligently combining multiple network connections, including LTE, 5G, satellite, and broadband, the solution enables next-generation mobile and emergency response applications.
To ensure the solution met real-world operational requirements, Dejero collaborated with industry partners throughout the development process. These partners provided valuable fleet access, testing environments, and user feedback during product validation.
Development partners included:
- Nomad GCS, a Kratos Company: a Montana-based manufacturer of Connected Mobile Operations Centers (CMOCs) serving defense, public safety, and commercial sectors.
- Cyberkar Systems Inc.: a Quebec-based provider specializing in the integration of advanced technology systems, communications equipment, and emergency vehicle solutions.
“Ontario is home to companies that are redefining the future of mission-critical connectivity,” said Raed Kadri, Head of OVIN at the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI). “Dejero’s TITAN Command showcases the kind of cutting-edge innovation that strengthens emergency response, supports frontline personnel, and positions Ontario as a leader in next-generation communications technologies for the automotive industry.”
Market opportunity in mission-critical communications
The successful completion of this project reinforces Dejero’s strategic expansion into critical connectivity markets, where reliable communications can directly impact public safety outcomes and operational effectiveness. Its patented Smart Blending Technology, which intelligently blends multiple network paths has already proven essential for customers across various business segments from broadcast to telecommunications to government agencies.
“Moving technology from successful validation into the market is a critical step for Ontario companies looking to scale,” said Claudia Krywiak, President and CEO, Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI). “Through OVIN, we’re helping companies like Dejero validate, commercialize and scale their technologies, opening new market opportunities while supporting solutions that can make a meaningful difference for first responders and frontline personnel.”
The project delivered significant commercial, technical, and societal outcomes, including:
- Successful transition of TITAN Command into mass production, with customer shipments already underway and additional form factors planned for later release
- Obtain PTCRB Certification for North America and U.S. carrier certification for Verizon, AT&T FirstNet and T-Mobile, ensuring compliance with rigorous industry standards for mobile wireless networks.
- Lay the foundation for additional TITAN router form factors
- Projected revenue growth of approximately $12 million within three years
- Enhanced social impact through improved emergency response capabilities, increased situational awareness, and greater safety for frontline personnel
The successful completion of the project and commercialization of TITAN Command marks an important milestone in Dejero’s continued expansion into mission-critical communications, while establishing a foundation for future TITAN router form factors, including TITAN Mobile.
