The International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) Innovation Awards recognize innovative uses of cutting-edge technology in media and entertainment around the world; only ten projects can become shortlisted as finalists in this competition. As a technical partner of Vodafone Romania, Dejero ranked as a finalist in the Content Creation category for their significant role in a holographic projection over 5G.

The Digital Media World Awards supports the content creation and broadcast industries, recognizing companies that create innovative solutions for broadcast and screened content. The Dejero IronRoute for media was awarded a Special Merit within the IP Broadcast Solutions - Distribution category.

Dejero and Musion 3D, a leader in holographic technology, worked together with Vodafone Romania to enable an 11-year-old guitarist to join a rock band on stage, and perform together with the band, as a human hologram, through a 5G connection and holographic projection, over Vodafone’s 5G network. The collaboration was also a finalist in the content creation category at the IBC 2019 Innovation Awards.

Dejero with Musion 3D and Vodafone Romania won the CSI award for “Best 5G project or innovation” for delivering a live, life-sized holographic projection over 5G.

Dejero IronRoute for Media won a Best of Show award presented by TVBEurope at IBC 2019. IronRoute delivers dependable connectivity by blending broadband, cellular (3G/4G/5G), and satellite connectivity from Intelsat’s global network. Dejero’s Smart Blending Technology combines all available network connections to create a virtual ‘network of networks’ with the necessary bandwidth to deliver broadcast-quality content.
