Dejero provides resilient livestreaming connectivity from Gamescom to Twitch homepage and Bethesda channel reaching 1.2 million unique viewers

Tividoo and MP Next tap Dejero EnGo mobile video transmitter and WayPoint receiver for five-day livestream on behalf of Bethesda Softworks from the Xbox studio and trade show floor

Waterloo, Ontario, April 23, 2025 — Dejero connectivity provided the foundation of a smooth five-day livestream on Twitch from Gamescom, the world’s largest gaming event. The event hosted 335,000 visitors from 120 countries and over 32,000 trade visitors at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.

On behalf of award-winning creator and worldwide publisher of interactive entertainment, ZeniMax Media, event network infrastructure IT solutions specialist, MP Next GmbH and managed connectivity services company, Tividoo GmbH, were responsible for producing live streams to the Twitch homepage and Bethesda channel, reaching 1.2 million unique viewers.

In addition to presenting new game content, the aim was two-fold — a dedicated Bethesda Softworks livestream from a fixed studio on the Xbox stand, as well as broadcasting impressions and interviews live from anywhere on the trade fair floor, including a behind-the-scenes tour together with Koelnmesse GmbH.

“Due to the production as a Twitch format with real-time chat audience participation as well as the live content directly from the audience areas, we were faced with the challenges of latency, signal stability and communication, which we were able to solve with a Dejero system from Tividoo,” said Giacomo Klingen, head of Tournet / Operational Services at MP Next GmbH.

Tividoo provided MP Next with a Dejero EnGo mobile video transmitter for mobile camera feeds, along with a WayPoint server system in a practical flypack format for connecting the control room on site. The EnGo’s built-in intercom enabled wireless in-ear monitoring for the presenter, as well as real-time communication with the cameraman, including a separate return channel.

The Fallout 76 booth comes to life as a Vault Dweller cosplayer and fans explore the iconic T-60 Power Armor display.

“Compared to linear television, a Twitch show is subject to a different dynamic,” continued Klingen. “Viewers interact live with the presenter via Chat, which means that pre-produced interviews are out of the question. The show adapts dynamically to the viewers and if the presenter spontaneously decides to get into an elevator, the camera follows. So it’s a good thing that the Dejero system was able to transmit without interruption—even from inside the elevators at Koelnmesse.”

Achieving glass-to-glass latency as low as 0.5 seconds over bonded cellular connections alone, EnGo is powered by Dejero Smart Blending Technology™ which simultaneously combines multiple IP connections from diverse network providers, including fiber/broadband, 3G/4G/5G and GEO/LEO/MEO satellite. This technology dynamically and intelligently manages the fluctuating bandwidth, packet loss, and latency differences of individual connections in real time.

As part of Microsoft Gaming division, ZeniMax Media published the popular The Elder Scrolls series and other games such as DOOM and Fallout.
