Description:
When connecting to a WiFi or Ethernet connection in a public setting like a hotel or convention center, it may be necessary to access a web-browser on the transmitter in order to complete the authentication process. This is also known as a captive portal.

- Plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port at the top of the transmitter or connect to the WiFi access point
- In the Operation menu, select Ethernet as the Connection setting. This will ensure the WiFi or Ethernet connection is the only connection present
- Press Back and Exit to return to the main screen of the Core Software
- Connect a USB mouse and USB keyboard into the service ports adjacent the handle of the transmitter
- Using the mouse, click the top of the Core Software and drag it to the side; this will expose the Windows Desktop
- Hit the bottom of the screen to display the Windows Taskbar
- Click on the Internet Explorer icon on the taskbar and the captive portal for the network should come up. If it does not then it will be necessary to enter the web address of the captive portal
- Follow the steps in the captive portal and enter credentials if required
- Once connected, drag the Core Software back into the middle of the display
- Change the Connection setting to All if the intent is to use the modem connections in addition to the WiFi/Ethernet
- Do a test stream and verify the WiFi/Ethernet connection pushes data; if not, call Dejero Technical Support for assistance
EnGo 1.x and 260
- Tap the top bar and select More
- Tap Settings and Connections
- Tap Connection Types and Ethernet
- Connect a cable to an Ethernet port at the back or connect to the Wi-Fi network
- Tap Wi-Fi and the network name
- Tap Actions and Connect
- Connect a mouse to a USB port at the back
- Double click the top right corner and click YES to close the Core Software
- Move the pointer to the bottom left to reveal the taskbar
- Click the Start button
- Select All Programs and Accessories
- Select Ease of Access and click On-Screen Keyboard
- Move the pointer to the bottom and click the icon for Internet Explorer
- If the Ethernet or Wi-Fi portal does not appear, attempt to access a website
- Enter the required information and confirm that connectivity is present
- Click on Start and Restart
- Restart the transmitter
- Verify that Ethernet or Wi-Fi is connected
- Tap the top bar and More
- Tap Settings and Connections
- Tap Connection Types and All
EnGo 263 and 265
On software version 6.6 and later:
- Connect to the desired WiFi / Ethernet connection
- Return to the EnGo’s preview screen. If the connection icon will be greyed out with a red exclamation mark on it.
- Tap the main menu button and select Networks
- Tap on the desired network connection. A connection that requires a login will say “captive” in the bottom right corner.
- Tap on Captive Portal
- A browser will open. Follow the instructions on logging in.
