Description:
When using a Dejero CuePoint with a GateWay, traffic from ports 49160 – 49200 must be forwarded to the CuePoint’s internal IP address. The steps below outline the procedure necessary to configure a GateWay using the default settings.
- Configure the CuePoint to have a static IP
- Connect a keyboard and monitor to the CuePoint
- Log into the CuePoint with the username user and the password dejero
- Using the arrow keys, move the cursor to the desired network interface, either eth0 or eth1 and press ENTER
Note: eth0 is the rightmost ethernet port and eth1 is the leftmost ethernet port. The port above the USB ports is not active and will not work - If there are no Address or Gateway fields, cursor down to Change to Static IP and press ENTER
- In the Address field enter 100.64.0.20/24
- In the Gateway field enter 100.64.0.1
- In the first DNS field enter 8.8.8.8
- In the second DNS field enter 8.8.4.4
- Select [Submit]
- Select Close
- Reboot the CuePoint by pressing the power button to turn it off, then pressing the power button to turn it back on
- Ensure that the GateWay has a public-facing static IP.
- Open control.dejero.com
- Click on the magnifying glass in the top left corner
- Enter the GateWay’s serial number
- Select the GateWay’s serial number
- Select the Information tab
- Verify that an IP address is listed in the Static Public IP field
- If there is no IP address or the Static Public IP field is not listed, please contact your Dejero Sales Representative to request a static public IP. Note that there may be additional costs.
- Forward inbound traffic on ports 49160 – 49200 to the CuePoint
- Open control.dejero.com
- Click on the magnifying glass in the top left corner
- Enter the GateWay’s serial number
- Select the GateWay’s serial number
- Select the Routing tab
- Select Edit
- Ensure that Port Forwarding is selected under Forwarding Mode
- Select Add Rule
- From the dropdown under Protocol select UDP
- In the field under Redirect IP enter 100.64.0.20
- Under Port Range enter 49160
- Press TAB to move to the next field and enter 49200
- Under Redirect Port Range enter 49160
- Press TAB to move to the next field and enter 49200
- Select Add Rule
- From the dropdown under Protocol select TCP
- In the field under Redirect IP enter 100.64.0.20
- Under Port Range enter 49160
- Press TAB to move to the next field and enter 49200
- Under Redirect Port Range enter 49160
- Press TAB to move to the next field and enter 49200
- Select SAVE
- Test CuePoint functionality
Note: If the GateWay has been configured to use a different network space than 100.64.0.0/24 then change the above IP addresses accordingly
